Really Amazon?

by Michael on June 26, 2009

Yesterday, while I was grabbing a link from Amazon for post about the classic HP calculators for the iPhone, I noticed something amusing:

Apparently, people frequently buy a HP 12c Platinum Financial Calculator, plus a copy of Mastering Financial Calculations: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Mathematics of Financial Market Instruments, and then a standard HP 12c Financial Calculator.

How many calculators do you need?

I always thought it was all automated, maybe there was that one person out there that purchased this combo. Or maybe someone purchased one calculator and the book and another purchased the other with the book. I think I’m over analyzing this.

Ian,

I agree, I think all Amazon’s stuff is automated, and for the most part, does a pretty good job. As with anything completely computer generated, you will occasionally get some strange combinations.
