Project Template with Gantt chart

Forum member Bjoern has been kind enough to share his Project Template with Gantt chart.

The template includes: a project description area, a fuel-gauge style chart, and columns for WBS (Work Breakdown Statements), Tasks, Task Leads, Start Time, End Time, Duration (in days), and a neat in-cell chart.

For those of you not familiar with Gantt Charts, they are described in Wikipedia as:

A Gantt chart is a popular type of bar chart that illustrates a project schedule. Gantt charts illustrate the start and finish dates of the terminal elements and summary elements of a project. Terminal elements and summary elements comprise the work breakdown structure of the project.

Fuel Gauge Chart for Numbers

JaxJason has shared another cool technique on the forums. This time he shows us how to create a “fuel gauge” style chart.

It works by using three pie slices. The middle one is our ‘needle’. By changing the size of the first pie slice and adjusting the third pie slice, we can move the middle one around kind of like a needle.

Just an example of how a little creative thinking might be used to introduce an unconventional method of input.
