Rob Griffiths, writing in Macworld, has a side be side comparison of Excel 2008 and Numbers '08. He created the same project - a sales-tracking spreadsheet - in each program, in order to test their individual strengths and weaknesses.

I just found this great Numbers tip on Fury&Frost.com:
You can use the INDEX() Function to transpose data to another table.
Read the post for a full explanation, but use the following function to get the results shown in the screen shot above:
=INDEX(Prefs::$A$1:$E$15,COLUMN(),ROW())

Apple released the latest update to Numbers on January 29, version 1.0.2.
Apple describes the update thusly:

Macworld reports that iWork now has a 16% share of the office productivity software market on the Mac.
The article notes that this big gain may be transitory as Microsoft readies it's new version of Office, which is scheduled for release January 15, 2008.

This is the first version of a simple, one month calendar template for Numbers.
Currently, all data must be manually entered. I will add functionality to auto fill dates and days when time allows.
